10. Let Us Shout For Joy

(Psalm 95)

Psalm 95 is all about praise, acknowledging God as the Creator and Lover of everything.

The song reminds us that we are created beings and that God is our Maker (95.6). This I-Thou, Creator-created relationship calls naturally for the mind of stewardship: We belong to God (95.7) and are designed to live that way for the abundant life Christ promises.

Behind the Song:
One of the blessings of growing up in my hometown LCMS (Lutheran Church Missouri Synod) church was the high liturgical service that wrote Scripture on my heart. Through repetition, I knew Bible passages like Psalm 95 before I could read.
