3. Into Your Hands (Psalm 31.5)
Psalm 31 is a prayer of radical trust in God. It contains the words “Into your hands I commend my spirit” (31.5) which, in Luke’s gospel, are Jesus’ final words before his death.
What does it mean to pray with Jesus?
Mediating on the words of Jesus on the cross, “Into Your hands I place my life,” reminds me of the feeling I have when I sing the song from Taizé, “Jesus, remember me.”
V. 1:
Into your hands I place my life
V. 2:
Oh, loving, faithful God
V. 3:
Oh, my life is yours
